Our last few weeks have been full of so much fun. In addition to our regular curriculum (you can read about it here) we've also been having a great time with some great activities. We checked out our favorite homeschool resource (our Local Library) and picked up all 3 "Back to the Future" Movies to celebrate "Back to the Future Day" on the 21st.
We picked up this fun environmental Trivia game "Bioviva" at our Goodwill Store.
It's full of fun trivia facts about the world around us.
We are so luck to have Scappoose Bagel nearby. We enjoy visiting them to get a special morning treat. This week they had a delicious pumpkin spice bagel on the menu. Yum!
Connor ordered this paper action figure book from Scholastic. It's definitely a challenge-and a good fine motor activity to boot!
This is an example of a "Quilt Math" project that Connor did in his teaching textbook lesson. They used examples of Quilt Squares, and Borders to figure out the quilt size and to determine how many Quilt Squares you would need to complete the Quilt.
I found the coolest science resource at Costco this week for ! We picked up this Encyclopedia Britannica 6-Book Interactive Science Library set for $39. It comes with 6 beautifully Illustrated books that cover the following Subjects: Dinosaurs, Under the Sea, Animals, Humans, Space and Earth. The best part is that it has an interactive pen that plays audio content including descriptions, definitions, sequencing, and even quizzes. This was the perfect find for us as we just started our Science Lesson on The Human Body this week.
Connor has been doing Woodshop this year. He was excited to put his new Electric Drill Skills to use to create our Halloween Display.
Happy Homeschooling! Did you go Trick-or-Treating this year? What did you dress up as?
